Horses2fly Prix CSI3 for Limburg's Manon Hees
The first test for the three-star riders this Friday at the WTC Expo is complete. The class featured 33 combinations, and the entire top three were Dutch. The victory went to 37-year-old Dutch rider Manon Hees, who won the 1.40m against the clock class with her ten-year-old mare Prinses van het Keizershof (by Dakar VDL) in 60.55 seconds.
Ruben Romp finished second with the seven-year-old stallion Pramwaldhof's Sassicaia (by Stakato Gold) in 61.03 seconds. Third place went to a rider who rarely misses an award ceremony: Marriët Smit-Hoekstra. She and the seven-year-old mare Nijerette (by Comthago VDL) clocked 61.83 seconds.
Third time Indoor Friesland
Manon: “This is my third time at Indoor Friesland. I love coming here. The big difference from other competitions is the atmosphere; you won't find anything like it here. Moreover, everything is well-organized for grooms and riders. So I was thrilled to be competing here again. I've already experienced quite a bit, even competing in World Cup competitions in the Middle East, but here in Leeuwarden it's absolutely fantastic. I've been riding the horse I won with for a year now. She's owned by Leon Otten and she's very fast.”
