Horses2fly: a loyal partner of Indoor Friesland from the very beginning

When Indoor Friesland returned to the equestrian calendar after many years, Horses2fly was there right away. Since then, the international horse transport company from Jistrum, Friesland, has been a vital sponsor and namesake of the Horses2fly competition. Every year, this competition delivers fantastic sport, a lively atmosphere, and packed stands.

Looking back at 2024
"The entire lead-up to Indoor Friesland, and then the indoor event itself... every year the Horses2fly competition is a huge success," says Alex Nijboer, who owns Horses2fly with his wife, Pascale Drifhout. "The competition between the riders, but also the camaraderie that surrounds it, makes it special. We look back on 2024 as an edition full of feeling and emotion. It seems like the competition comes alive every year."

What makes it special
According to Nijboer, it's difficult to highlight just one moment. "Actually, the entire competition and the final are special. It makes us incredibly proud and happy to see how it's all happening. It's happening with the very young riders who have just transitioned to horses, but just as much with the older generation who have been active in show jumping for over 30 years."

Reactions and enthusiasm
According to Nijboer, the feedback Horses2fly receives is almost exclusively positive. "Although we're facing a luxury problem: the entries are coming in so quickly that the sections fill up in no time."

Looking forward
Horses2fly continues to invest in the future. "We've built a new stable with animal welfare as our priority and purchased a modern truck," explains Nijboer. "The horses travel freely, have more space, and the cooling system ensures optimal transport even in hot weather. Animal welfare must always come first, so our sector remains strong."

Extra prizes and thanks
Horses2fly will once again offer a fantastic extra prize at the 2025 finals. "We're really looking forward to it," says Nijboer. "The sport, the camaraderie, everything that comes with it. And we'd like to express our appreciation to the board, the volunteers, and of course the other sponsors. Together, we make Indoor Friesland a vibrant and vibrant event."
