“Indoor Friesland feels like a warm bath” – Epplejeck's Hester van der Burgh on collaboration, foursomes and sparkles

The autumn of 2025 is a vibrant period for Epplejeck. Not only is the company launching the brand-new BRITT EQUESTRIAN brand in collaboration with Britt Dekker, but as a partner of Indoor Friesland, Epplejeck is also involved in the introduction of a new competition: the Epplejeck Foursomes Cup. Both initiatives clearly reflect Epplejeck's DNA: innovative, dedicated, and always focused on the joy of sport. We spoke with Hester van der Burgh, Epplejeck's brand manager, about their collaboration with Indoor Friesland and the idea behind the foursomes competition.

What do you think of Indoor Friesland?
What I love about Indoor Friesland is the diverse program, the balance between show and competition. For all ages. The atmosphere... as a visitor, you enter the straw village, a warm welcome, if I may say so myself! It's beautifully designed with regional and national horse-related businesses and a wonderful media plaza.

More attention to foursomes

How did you come up with the idea of ​​organizing a foursome competition?
After last year's great success, we wanted to expand this year. But how? After a very pleasant conversation with Yvonne van Bergen, we came up with the Epplejeck Foursomes competition. It's a sport that we believe deserves more attention on a larger stage.

And how do people respond to it?
The reactions have been very positive! Teams are enthusiastic, the atmosphere is great, and we expect this competition to really take off in the coming years.
