Lasaulec & Velzen Textile Cleaning Prix for Danish Rikke Maria Schoubye Johansen
The second competition is also over. After the pony combinations, it was the Juniors' turn to show their best in the Lasaulec & Velzen Textile Cleaning Prix. They also rode the team test before the international jury. The victory in this team test goes to Denmark. A victory with a Dutch touch, as the winner rode a Dutch-bred horse. With an impressive score of 71.31%, the second victory at the WTC Expo in Leeuwarden went to Rikke Maria Schoubye Johansen. Her four-legged partner in this competition was the twelve-year-old stallion Baune Hoejens Carpaccio (by Charmeur).

Second and third places remained in the Netherlands. The red ribbon went to Jaidy de Winter and the fifteen-year-old gelding Foundation (by United). They achieved a respectable 70.85%. Third place, just like in the first test, went to Britt Kikkert-Van der Linde. In this class, Britt rode her grandfather Wim's bred Jerenzo Texel (by Enzo Ferrari). Britt and Jerenzo scored 68.08%.
700 kilometers traveled
Rikke says shyly, but with a big smile: "I'm sixteen years old and this is my first year in the Juniors, so I'm really happy. Our team coach told me about this fantastic competition, and she wasn't exaggerating. The track, the organization, everything is fantastic. We had to travel ten hours, 700 kilometers, but it was worth it. I can now confirm all the positive things I've heard."
Highlights
Regarding my test, the shoulder-in and extended trot were highlights, but the pirouettes were too big. However, that was my fault, not my horse's. He was also a bit wary of the many, otherwise very beautiful, flowers lining the arena, but that's a matter of gaining experience and getting used to it. My dream is to make horses my job, and together with my trainer and role model, Jette – Carina Ververmann, I'm working on that.
Finally, I'd like to thank everyone who makes this fantastic competition possible. Organizers, sponsors, volunteers—it's fantastic here!
