MHB AV Prix for Britt Kikkert – Van der Linde with grandpa's breeding product

The final day of the Indoor Friesland 2025 dressage weekend has begun. A special day at the WTC Expo in Leeuwarden, as today's program features only freestyle classes. The Juniors kicked things off in the MHB AV Prix. Britt Kikkert-Van der Linde, originally from Texel, and her grandfather Wim's bred stallion, the eleven-year-old KWPN stallion Jerenzo Texel (by Enzo Ferrari), claimed victory. Their score was 75.17%.

Second place went to the winner of the Team Test, Denmark's Rikke Maria Schoubye Johanson. Rikke competed with the twelve-year-old stallion Bounehoejens Carpaccio (by Charmeur), and they scored 74.33%. Third place also remained in the Netherlands. They've only been a combination for a short time, but they're already proving to be a force to be reckoned with. Jaidy de Winter and the fifteen-year-old gelding Foundation (by United) scored 72.59%.

Peaks and valleys
Britt: "Finally again! I've had my ups and downs in recent years, but we've definitely come back stronger. Finally, things are going the way I want. Today I really felt like I could sit comfortably, put my hands forward, and just steer. Jerenzo did it for me, and I was enjoying it. The only thing I could improve is the walk, but I'm working on that with my trainer, Adelinde Cornelissen. I need to exhale more and thus convey more calmness to my horse. Adelinde wasn't with us today, but we did make a plan. During the warm-up, I focused on sitting comfortably, loosening up, and staying loose. That worked out really well."

Together with mom
This is my first time at Indoor Friesland. Last year, I saw the pictures and realized I wanted to go here too. It's different from a regular CDI. Everything is indoors and sooooo beautiful, almost like Jumping Amsterdam or Indoor Brabant. After this competition, I want to ride De Peelbergen, and then that's it for this year; we'll take a little vacation. Yes, I had a really great weekend, enjoying a competition with my mom. We used to argue sometimes, but we're a real team now. I also brought my pony Nur Für Dich with me, with whom I came third twice, and we did everything together—it was very special and fun.
