The WTC Expo in Leeuwarden will be entirely dedicated to Indoor Friesland from 9 to 17 October 2026. After a fantastic comeback, the 45th edition of the equestrian event of Friesland is back on the agenda.
Both national and international dressage and jumping are on the program. From October 9th to 11th, light and heavy dressage competitions will be held at the CDI3* level. From October 13st to 17th, jumping classes will be held at the CSI1* and CSI3* levels. In addition, spectators can enjoy fantastic shows from the grandstands, the Frisian harness horse, and the new Night of the Stallions. You can also let off some steam between the exciting sports in the main arena in the charming Strodorp. During Indoor Friesland, the Strodorp is the place where the equestrian world meets and the latest innovations and developments in the sector are showcased. Enjoy snacks and drinks and get a taste of the equestrian lifestyle.
Over the past few years, the board has worked diligently to further develop Indoor Friesland. We are now proudly on the eve of the 45th edition of an event firmly established on the equestrian calendar. The developments of recent editions have proven that Indoor Friesland enjoys widespread support not only in Friesland but also far beyond. With enthusiastic participants, both regionally and internationally, and an increasingly strong and diverse program, we look to the future with confidence and enthusiasm.
Looking back on the past year, the great enthusiasm among the public is striking. The event was sold out on multiple days and the atmosphere was truly unique. That experience inspires us as the board to work on the 45th edition with at least the same dedication. Therefore, in October, an international show jumping week will once again be combined with an international dressage weekend at the WTC Expo.
With a turnover of 2 billion euros per year, 10.000 companies and 450.000 animals, the Dutch horse sector is one to be reckoned with. That is why we – and our many partners – are pleased that Indoor Friesland is back
has a permanent place on the agenda of the WTC Expo Leeuwarden. Because a sector that has shown unabated economic growth for years deserves a broad equestrian event of international class in the north of the country. We will once again do everything we can to please the riders. Dozens of experienced volunteers are once again prepared to make the event run smoothly. And entrepreneurs and sponsors are prepared to actively support the event. As an organization, we can only count ourselves lucky. That alone is worth gold!
