After Harich, CH Oranjewoud in Mildam was the next location where a Horses2fly competition was held and where the coveted Golden Tickets for Indoor Friesland 2025 could be won. Once again, the starting lists were very well filled. The victory in the 1.10m went to one of the youngest participants. The sixteen-year-old Jayden Woering won the Golden Ticket together with his Juventus, which entitles him to a starting ticket for the Horses2fly final on Wednesday 22 October in the WTC Expo in Leeuwarden. Jayden and the descendant of Glasgow van 't Merelnest, the former top rider of Jur Vrieling, crossed the finish line in a time of 37.74 seconds.

Second was Linde Bulthuis with Pelleminka in a time of 37.87 seconds and third place went to Janneke Bleeker and Mr. Little D. They clocked 40.03 seconds.

Horses and food

Jayden still lives at home in Sleen in Drenthe, but during the week he often sleeps at Marcel de Boer's in Nieuwleusen where he works. Jayden has a stepsister Rosanne who is married to Age Flapper and is doing the first year of an equestrian education in the direction of instructor and horse husbandry. Jayden: "Horses are my life, I couldn't think of anything else you could wake me up for. (laughing) Although, food and then preferably a kapsalon or spareribs."

Juventus

“Juventus is an eleven-year-old gelding, black in colour and 1.74m tall. He is mine and I have had him for a year and a half now. He is very sweet, but also very playful and fanatical. So fanatical that I often have to ride one less gallop jump in a jump-off. The goal with him in the future is to get as high as possible in the sport, but for now I would first like to win the 1.10m class in the Horses2fly final of Indoor Friesland.”

Winning ride

“There were 47 combinations at the start in the 1.10m and I had number nineteen. The section was ridden with a built-in jump-off. I know that my horse is fast and I immediately got a nice distance on obstacle one, which allowed me to ride smoothly to obstacle two. That also went well and then I knew that I could go to obstacle three with one less canter stride. When I crossed the finish line, I knew that I was fast, but I didn't immediately have the feeling that I would win. It could have been even faster, I didn't go inside once, which was possible.”

Consciously registered

“Last year I was also allowed to start, but I had obtained my starting permit by placement points. I thought it was super nice and great to ride there. It tasted like more and that is why I have now consciously registered for the selections. After Mildam I also registered for Eext and I will probably also ride Tolbert.”

Five star rider

"My dream is to become a five-star rider and ride for a big stable. Not for myself, I really want to focus on the sport. It will be difficult, I realize that, but I'm going for it. At the moment my employer is Marcel de Boer and he coaches me and gives me lessons. Marcus Ehning is my example, he sits so beautifully and quietly on his horse and still controls every step of his horse. He has them super well organized."

Marcel de Boer

"I still have to wait a little while until I can travel to Leeuwarden and until then I'll just keep driving Juventus, then everything should be fine. I'm super happy that I'm with Marcel and I'm very grateful to him for the opportunities he gives me and how he guides me."
